2006 Liberty World Outrigger Competition |

 Toronto OCC and Wai Nui O Kanakā OCC participated in 2006 Liberty World Outrigger Competition on Saturday June 24th at the New York harbour, in very hard racing conditions.
Liberty Challenge is 11-15 miles (3 races throughout the day: the men’s (15 miles), the women’s (15 miles) and the mixed (11 miles) OC6 race in NY Harbour. Start and finish of the race was in front of the Brooklyn Bridge Park between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. TOCC and Wai Nui OCC entered the event with separate crews in the men’s category and  combined crew in the mixed category. Wai Nui OCC also had a crew in women’s category. Canada at IVF New Zealand OC Sprints |

 Canadian Outrigger paddlers from across the country competed at at the World IVF VA'A sprints in New Zealand in March. Hope everyone enjoyed the racing and had a wonderful trip.
